Terrifying Times call for Terrifying Jewelry

A one night only early career 3-D Retrospective: dance/performance/jewelry/show

As the 2016 Tom Murrin Performance Award recipient, with a yearlong residency at Dixon Place. September 6th, 2017 at Dixon Place.

Taking over the entirety of Dixon Place – the lounge, the theater, and everything in between. A jewelry show and live performance mash-up, Berg draws from a pastiche of past visual and performative works in what she calls an ‘early career 3-D retrospective’ to look towards the future –and it’s terrifying. Members of the NYC performance community model their own commissioned jewelry pieces that Berg has created over the past 10 years. The evening will also feature the unveiling of Berg’s new cockroach-inspired jewelry line via a performative fashion show and will be made available for purchase. With the Terrifying Jewelry Collection, Berg explores the insidious and grotesque things that seep into our lives and ‘under our couches,’  turning them into talismans for exuberant defiance and resilience.
